True Short Story....

Cleaning Up

My heavy laundry basket on my hip, I made my way to the wash machine on the property where I rented a small cottage.
“The machine isn’t working,” my landlord Laura approached me. “The electricity has gone out, and we can’t fine the breaker switch to turn it back on. We’ve been looking for three days.” Laura had owned the hidden garden house and property for over four years when I came to live there.
Placing my towels on the picnic table, I thought, “Lord, you know where the switch is. Show me where it is!”
As I approached the washer, my arm instinctively extended and tapped the wall of the adjacent cottage. I heard a metal “click” sound. As I crawled behind the cottage to explore, there was the metal box clearly labeled:
          “Laundry Room Breaker Switch.”

He's Age 14 and Finding His Way

“My 14 year old son, Josh, has not been doing well at all.” Massie’s eyes pleaded, “I don’t know what to do to help him any more. A year ago he used to be a great student, but now, he just stays in his room – refusing to clean up or make his bed. He won’t talk to us about what is happening. His grades are dropping, and he has no friends. It hurts me to see him so miserable.”
She showed me the soccer photo where a handsome, smiling blonde haired teen had just scored a goal. A happier early version.
I suggested counseling and medical intervention, which she said she they were already doing but with minimal success.
“Could you read his face and give me any ides as to how to reach him, Barb?” she was desperate.
I held the photo and peered into the clear, blue eyes of a young teen who had a square forehead, tall and wide temples, a wide mouth and big front teeth.
These are all very positive facial features indicating a thinker, a leader and a generous person.
“Massie, let me make him an audio tape about his life and things he might look forward to in the future. That might help him,” I suggested.
That night I taped a 15-min session for Josh in language which would be clear to a teen. I went into his inner gifts, how they would manifest in the future, and his areas of personal challenge and how to work with each one so he could emerge successful. I handed the tape to Massie to give to him.
Three months later in class, she took me aside, “I can’t believe the changes in my son! Whatever you said to him really changed him! Even that night, he came out of his room and had dinner with the family. He’s back doing his homework again. Even though you’ve never met him, Josh said to me:
‘Barbara really understands me.’ He said that your tape about his life gave him ‘hope,’    and whenever he feels discouraged, he just listens to your tape again. Thank you!”

Yes, the eyes are the 'windows to the soul' - but Face Reading goes far, far beyond this quote to really identify the level of Inner development of a person. The clip below, which I did on San Diego Morning TV analyses two eyes. Soul Age has nothing to do with eye color or ethnic background. It only applied to the Radiance coming from a person's eyes.
I call the first a 'young' soul - the energy radiating from the eyes is flat, cold, or cruel. When you look at that person's eyes, there is no warmth or compassion. Sometimes (and not all) models have this flat aspect. In 'young' souls their desire is to play, and they respond to rules and regulations. Criminals may also have very flat, cruel or vacant eye radiance.
The second group in the video I refer to as 'old' souls. People like Gandhi, Martin Luther King, The Dalhi Lama, Yogananda, and St. Therese of Lisieux are examples of people who have this dynamic love, radiance, wisdom, and joy pouring from their eyes. They beam out goodness! When we look at them, we can get lost in their eyes.
So please check out the video below. It features St. Therese of Lisieux, a French saint who wrote, The Little Flower, a beautiful book on how to do little things for God, and Paramahansa Yogananda, author or Autobiography of a Yogi, a spiritual classic of his life in India and the great masters he met.

It was such a joy and honor to meet Tyra Banks in person. We did several shows out of New York, and she was incredible as a person. Attached is one of the short introductions to Face Reading and what makes my work unusual - both my 30 years training in clinical medicine and that my style honors all ethnic groups, ages and genders. Tyra's comment to me was very lovely:

True Short Story of Prayer Encounters

As my Blog focuses on Healing and Insight, I wish to add some true stories from friends of mine who have helped others to heal and grow. God bless. Barbara

By "Judy" (a friend of mine)

I picked up my cell phone one afternoon to hear the voice of my friend Krista sobbing, “Jeff’s  just had a heart attack, and they’ve rushed him to the hospital.” Her husband, a top CEO in San Diego, had been a good health.  “Please pray for him! I’m really scared,” she cried uncontrollably.
This humble, good man had helped hundreds of homeless and hopeless people find jobs, had mentored and guided so many. Kind and quiet, I loved him as a brother and Krista as a sister. After she and I prayed together over the phone, I sat in meditation and asked God to watch over Jeff and bless him. With the loving confidence of a child to a Divine Friend, with the firm determination knowing that God had complete control over this man’s life, my prayers went deeper.
As strong, intuitive feeling came to me that Jeff was suddenly going to die on the table. In my mute, heart’s longing to God, I said, “NO, NO, NO – don’t take him! Keep this man alive. He has too much to live for. He is not ready to go!” I felt a peace around this prayer.
At the point between the eyebrows I inwardly saw a clock which said 2:00, and had the feeling that the surgeon had just realized Jeff was far worse than he thought.  I saw Jeff was put into a deeper anesthesia as the physician inserted two stints (medical mesh) to make the walls of the heart stronger. It was as though I felt God let me energetically pull him back from death.
When Jeff returned home and was able to visit after a few weeks, he told me the story of what I had seen above: “The doctor told me suddenly I took a turn for the worse. It was right at 2:00 when he realized I was dying and changed the course of my surgery. If it hadn’t been for your prayers and God’s help, I know I would not be here. I’ve always been an atheist, but I thank you for your faith in God. This experience has changed me.”

For thousands of years face reading has revealed what a person is like inside based on his/her facial features. Different lips (shapes) have different psychological meanings.
       Here are some of them:
Full, wide lips (President Obama, Julia Roberts) show a person who is generous and warm hearted, affectionate. A thin upper lip with a large lower lip is someone who keeps confidences well. Great for a job in teaching, counseling, or ministry. When a person has the "Elvis Presley" lower lip - sultry and sexual, they have a sensual chemistry. Thin lips usually indicate a person who likes to stick to the facts/business and may not be a feeling type. And a very tiny mouth (smaller than/same size as the nose) can be a self-absorbed person or someone dangerous to cross swords with (Henry the 8th, the dictator of North Korea). Keep in mind, you always want to evaluate a person by seeing their whole face. For more information check out my book, FACE READING - HOW TO KNOW ANYONE AT A GLANCE on or several of my videos on my website.
